So is she telling the truth or not? This is a show where are told a tale from Danielle’s life and we have to choose to believe whether she is being honest or not in her depiction of a sad lonely childhood (in Cardiff or Portsmouth? Or did she grow up in both?). Danielle starts the show by reading statements and asking the audience if we can tell whether she is fibbing or not. Some are easier than others and I won’t give away any answers. The show then progresses into stories about Danielle’s life and family in which we learn a lot about her brother and sisters, and her growing up and joining the Sea Cadets.

I enjoyed this show but I don’t think it is for everyone as one person walked out when she was talking about giving hand jobs (I mean when she HAD given one, not offering….), and some of the conversation is a bit fruity as she also asks the audience for any similar experiences. It’s fairly late so the kiddies won’t be coming but be warned that the discussions get rather frank.
So, it’s an entertaining (just under an) hour where you might learn some new things or be thoroughly confused by what was true in what you have just witnessed. Danielle is an engaging storyteller and the audience enjoyed the lies she told, so why not come and see how good YOU are at spotting an honest face.
