Still wondering what to see? Well we’ve already reviewed around eighty shows and we thought it might be time to suggest some of our highest recommendations for this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Australian chicks are producing some of the best shows at this year’s fest. Some of the stand outs include Celia Pacquola, Mel Buttle, Fiona O’Loughlin, Hannah Gadsby, Geraldine Hickey, Claire Hooper and Nelly Thomas.

That said the boys aren’t dragging their heels either, with Tommy Dassalo, Kent Valentine, Justin Hamilton, Josh Earl, Harley Breen, Adrian Calear, Michael Williams, Mathew Kenneally and Sam Simmons all putting together great shows.

There are some stand out group shows also, like Tripod, Donna & Damo, Sam Simmons & David Quirk and +1 Sword.

On the international side Eddie Ifft is getting great wraps, but it’s last year’s Barry winners and squirrel favourites The Pajama Men who are really causing some excitement.

Check in daily to Australian Comedy Review, as we’ve still got heaps of reviews to come between now and the end of the festival. For info on all the shows check out the Melbourne International Comedy Festival website
